Part II of the course will be geared towards practitioners who have placed MSE/TADs already and are looking for more advanced information. The participants should possess some basic knowledge of orthodontics and have treated a few cases prior to the course.
We will begin the session with a brief review of the basics. Then, we will delve into advanced orthodontic diagnosis and clinical applications of MSE and TADs. In addition to this, we will show how to set up more complex cases using Invisalign clinchecks, and showcase progress with case photos.
Furthermore, the course will cover the following key aspects:
- Understanding the goals of tooth movement and timing it in the clincheck in relation to MARPE development.
- Providing a checklist for the goals of the clincheck.
- Reviewing expansion failures and how to avoid them predictably.
- Introducing Piezotomy for use in adult patients to make adult cases predictable. This will include a review of failures, possible side effects, emergencies, protocols, and related procedures.
Finally, we will have a hands-on portion on piezotomy utilizing 3D printed models, followed by observation of live piezo-assisted MARPE placement in adult patients. Participants will be able to closely observe and follow all the procedures.
The attendee should be able to plan and place MSE/MARPE/ TADs, with piezo cuts, following completion of the course.
